JAV auditions for INXS, results as expected

I went to Los Angeles this weekend to audition for INXS. The band is looking for a new lead singer through a new reality show Rock Star, produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor and Apprentice fame, and set to air on CBS this summer.

I'm a huge fan of INXS, and I was auditioning just for the fun of it. I am not a good singer, and I know this. I'm acquaintances of several members of the band, so I thought it would be funny to perform for them. My plan was to do a medley of 4 INXS songs, including 2 extremely obscure ones - "Happy Christmas" and "Any Day But Sunday".

I went to LA and waited in line for 5 hours. I was number 84. Here's me in line:

I got cut off quite early in my audition, after about 45 seconds. I sang a verse from Just Keep Walking, and a little bit from Happy Christmas. I guess they had heard enough of me singing a Christmas song in late February, because they stopped me and said, "Thank you. Next please."
